A man who recently underwent surgery has claimed that two doctors made errors that resulted in his permanent disability. The medical malpractice claim was filed in a state outside Ohio. The two doctors are surgeons who performed a hernia operation on the man.

During the laparoscopic surgery, the surgeons are said to have drained a cyst, which they then failed to remove intact. The patient claims that this was a negligent act on the part of the surgeons that caused a lymphatic leak inside his body. Because of the leak, the man says he has suffered a permanent disability, and he is unable to maintain his usual activities because he is always in pain.

The patient also stated that he has incurred many medical expenses due to his post-operative condition. He has filed a medical malpractice claim against both doctors, seeking more than $50,000 in damages. A jury trial has been requested by the plaintiff.

Any Ohio patient who has reason to believe to that medical malpractice is the cause of his or her health condition may want to consider filing a legal claim in a civil court. A first logical step to take in the process would be to discuss the details of the situation with an experienced personal injury lawyer in the area. He or she would conduct a thorough investigation into the events leading up to the injury or illness in order to identify all possible sources of liability. From there, the legal representative would act on behalf of the patient in court, seeking the maximum amount of damages to which the patient may be entitled.
