A man who recently underwent surgery has claimed that two doctors made errors that resulted in his permanent disability. The medical malpractice claim was filed in a state outside Ohio. The two doctors are surgeons who performed a hernia operation on the man.
During the laparoscopic surgery, the surgeons are said to have drained a cyst, which they then failed to remove intact. The patient claims that this was a negligent act on the part of the surgeons that caused a lymphatic leak inside his body. Because of the leak, the man says he has suffered a permanent disability, and he is unable to maintain his usual activities because he is always in pain.
The patient also stated that he has incurred many medical expenses due to his post-operative condition. He has filed a medical malpractice claim against both doctors, seeking more than $50,000 in damages. A jury trial has been requested by the plaintiff.
